The salmoriglio, dialect Catanese "salamaricchiu" is an ideal condiment for steaks, the broiled fish, grilled aubergines, boiled potatoes or baked.
Ingredients for 2 people:
- half a cup of oil e.v.o.;
- 1 lemon;
- oregano q.s.;
- sale q.b.;
- Pepe nero q.b.
- In a bowl, pour the olive oil and lemon.
- Add a pinch of salt, one of pepper and a sprinkling of oregano.
- Whisk the mixture with a fork to get a smooth sauce.
